I’m Probably Lying Tote!!!

This tote is a long time coming!  I bought this shirt on my first trip to the thrift store a few months ago, have made two linings for it, cut out a couple side panels, and bought two handles.  Nothing satisfied me!

Until I found this bold mesh fabric that I found in my personal archives, from a beachwear line I did in college.

The side panel is from some children’s clothes scraps that I couldn’t be happier I came across!

There are two pockets; one inside on the front face, which you can see in the first picture.  And another on the outside back face, made from the sleeve of the t-shirt so that it blends in with the bag.

This would make a great gift!  (For someone with a sense of humor)  Or if you just feel like being a little sassy or getting a good laugh this bag will do the trick =)

*****Each product is handmade from second hand clothing and fabrics and is completely one of a kind, I couldn’t duplicate any of these bags even if I wanted too! It’s my way of going green and staying in style.

Two things I’m really excited about!

I just got some more shirts to work with this weekend and they are all great!  But these two are my absolute favorite!!!

These two will be a part of the “War and Peace” line.

The irony of these shirts are insane. Amazing aren’t they!

Army baby!!!!!

I’m so excited about my 2nd Baby J!! I just love the color combination with the camo, gold and the maroon striped lining!

The camo print is from a thermal which adds a great texture contrast with the t-shirt side panel. The pocket is made from a gold curtain (because everyone who served in the military deserves some sort of gold medal!). And the lining came from scrap upholstery fabric.

This little one is perfect for shopping when you don’t want your BIG purse =).

Since it’s smaller it stands very well on it’s own.

HELP The Beatles Tote!!!

This is one of the three I have most recently finished. And I’m fascinated by the color and texture contrast, even though I paired them together =)

I found this t-shirt at the thrift store and it was the coolest band shirt I’d ever seen!  The best thing about it is that the cut out faces are cut from felt so they stand up just enough from the shirt and are fun to touch =)

And for the lining I was lucky enough to find this left over tapestry (don’t exactly know what it was before.) and it was like magic when I paired them together!  Ok maybe not so dramatic but it looks REALLY good!

And I just found out that this tote has been featured in an etsy treasury!  Click on the link and check it out!  It’s my first feature!

But it’s not for sale anymore because Awesome Ava, a budding seamstress from Massachusetts now has it in her care =)  It looks good on you Ava!  Hope you love it!

(Now here’s the boring/more technical info:)

The Front, Back, and inside pockets are made from a Beatles t-shirt. The side panel is made from left over tapestry and the lining also. But what’s interesting about the lining is that in every yellow stripe is lifted by some sort of filler, so when you run your hand over it, it feels like small mountains =)

It’s complete with brown straps, and of course it’s fully interfaced for extra stability, even though the inside lining is pretty strong and could stand on it’s own without it.

The dimensions are about 16″x12″x3 1/2″  Great for everyday wear.

*SOLD* Wild Thing Shoulder Bag!!!! Go Team Jacob!

ok ok I’ll admit I lied again, but I really mean it this time! I LOVE THIS BAG!!! It’s a winner!

I can only take some credit for this bag because Kirk Fitzpatrick was the one with the vision this time. He created this custom pattern. So he deserves the design credit for this one.

The front and back are made of t-shirts. The side panel is made of a textured curtain valance, the lining and back pocket are made from a curtain.

The strap is 38″ and adjustable so you can wear it at whatever length suits you best.

*SOLD*Wild Wolf!!! Team Jacob!

Here is my larger than average Wild Wolf Team Jacob bag!   After my recent trip to see new moon, I was almost instantly on team Jacob! So how could I pass up this shirt with the amazing scene that looks just like New Moon! Exactly I couldn’t!

I paired the Wolf scene with black and white polka dot side panels that are made from the sleeves of men’s pajama’s, if you look closely you can see the cuffs. And the 2 inside pockets are made out of the remainder of the sleeves so they match the side panel.

The Front face of the bag has the scene of the wolf, and the back face of the bag has what’s suppose to be the reflection of the wolf from the water. Which is why the back face has a more blurry look.

My sister actually picked out the awesome lining, which is made from a men’s button up work shirt, and the inside side panel features the cuffs from the sleeves on that shirt. It looks amazing!

And thank you again to Jackie Mckay for helping make this bag beautiful!

And again I’ll have to get exact measurements for you, since I had to create a pattern around the image because I didn’t want to cut off the scene on the shirt. So it’s about 19″ wide by 14″ tall, but I’ll double check for you.

I can’t tell you how much I love this bag! If it doesn’t sell soon I might keep it for myself!  If you’d like to purchase this bag Click Here.
